We have been having the best time studying the origins of the telegraph. Our book Thomas A. Edison Young Inventor has created a huge interest in Morse code, here at home. We even took a field trip to the National Seashore in Wellfleet to visit the Marconi Site. This is the site of the first Transatlantic telegraph:)
Marconi was from Italy. His country would not fund his work. So he experimented in Great Britain and succeeded in sending a wireless telegraph. He Then came to the USA and was once again successful...sending the first transatlantic message.
